![]() The good thing is that I already have a PC that runs 24/7 and I can easily connect either weather station to that computer for consistent weather updates. The price point on the Davis systems is also somewhat of a deterrent considering (for the Vantage Vue) the unit and display itself are about $300 and then I would also need the data logger and WeatherLink software which I believe runs another $130 (I'm not currently interested in using a different generic type of setup or raspberry pi). One thing that I really dislike about the Ambient Weather WS-1200-IP is the 14 second intervals between updates compared to the 2-3 second updates provided by Davis systems. I don't know if I am correct in this assumption but I feel as if the Davis Vantage Vue and Pro 2 are not only more popular. I like the Ambient Weather WS-1200-IP display more than the Davis Vantage Vue or Pro 2 as well as the INCLUDED WIFI/Router connectivity that is provided with the Ambient Weather package. ![]() I currently have wireless temp, humidity, and barometric pressure unit that reports to a display inside and now want to get on the Weather Underground page as well as replace my current mediocre setup. I've had wireless/digital rain gauges in the past which have not made it through the Wisconsin winter. ![]()
